Community Relations

It is our desire at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School to share the love of Jesus in our community.

A variety of programs and events are offered where our members can become involved in community outreach.

Family Promise

Our St Paul Lutheran church family has united with our community to assist struggling families with the love of Jesus.  Family Promise is a charitable organization that utilizes existing resources of local faith communities working together to assist children and their families that have become homeless in our community.  The program provides temporary shelter, meals, and support services. The goal is to restore the families to sustained independence.  Family Promise of South Palm Beach County (FPSPBC) has been serving homeless families with children in Palm Beach County since November of 2008. It is the local affiliate of the national Family Promise program founded in 1988. There are over 150 affiliates in 39 states throughout the nation.

Believing that every child deserves a home, we exist to provide temporary shelter for homeless families in South Palm Beach County so that they can achieve lasting independence, while assisting their families obtain work, housing and a fresh start.

If you would like to assist us in this ministry, you can sign up to provide a meal, or stay as an overnight host.  If you would like to be a part of this life impacting ministry, please email Sylvia Jones (jrsylvia.jones@gmail.com) or Leslie Schnake (leslie@stpaulboca.com) , or call the church office 561-395-0433 for more information.

Blessings in a Backpack

Weekly, during the school year, members and friends gather at a local public elementary school and pack food in backpacks for needy children so that they will have food to eat on the weekends.  This is done during the school day and students in that school assist with the packing of the food.

We also include flyers in the backpacks inviting the students and their families to be our guests at special events held on the campus of St. Paul Lutheran.

 Laborers for the Harvest

Member are offered opportunities to put on a hard-hat and help build homes for needy families in our community through Habitat for Humanity.

          Financial Peace University

Residents from our community are invited to attend a course regarding how to better manage money.  This 13 week  course is taught from a Biblical perspective and offers a simple, practical plan for proper stewardship of the gifts God has given to us.

              Chili Cook-off

Local Resturants and individuals compete in our annual Chili Cook-off held on the campus of St. Paul Lutheran Church and School.  The members are encouraged to invite neighbors and friends to this community wide event.
