"God's Provision"

There is grain in Egypt!  Genesis 42:2

Famine pinched all the nations, and it seemed inevitable that Jacob and his family should suffer great want; but the God of providence, who never forgets the objects of His love, had stored up grain in the land of the Egyptians.  Little did Jacob expect deliverance from Egypt, but there was grain there for him.

Believer, all though all things seems against you, rest assured that God has made provision for you!  Somewhere in your life there is an Egypt, a place of deliverance from the struggle you are encountering.  Your rescue may come from an unexpected source, but help will definitely come from God.  If men do not feed you, scripture has shown us that God can even use ravens to care for our needs!  If the earth seems empty of answers, perhpas manna from heaven.  In any case, God will make provision, just as His word promises.

Therefore be of good courage, and rest quietly in the Lord.  Jacob discovered this truth as he called upon his children to go to Egypt to ask for help... for the needed grain.  Without Jacob and his sons knowing it, God had used their bad decisions to plan ahead for their care and support.  Jacobs sons had sold their youngest into slavery, and this son was now the second ruler in all of Egypt.  Joseph, Jacobs youngest and most beloved son, once believed dead now stood alive before them, and in his hands holding the future of Jacobs entire family

Joseph showed grace and mercy to his brothers and Father, opening the graineries and providing all they needed.  Joseph is a shadow of God's love to you and me!  Jesus showed you and I grace, providing forgiveness and love when we deserved death!  His love reminds us that God is for us and not against us.  Despite our bad decisions and actions, God opens heaven to us, and shows us His love.  Joseph, like Jesus, was abundantly ready to provide for the need of his family!  They only had to ask!

Prayer is how we ask God to come to our aid and rescue us in times of need!  God provides for those in many and various ways!  He has an abundance of provision available to respond to our needs with... we need only ask, and then look to see where he has provided it.

For many, pride stands in the way of seeing the answer God has given!  Jesus said, you have not because you ask not!  Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find!

We pray you will come to us if you have a need, seeing that God has placed us in this ministry to be His vessels of grace, His hands, Heart and Voice of love and assistance!
