Greetings from the Board of Lay Ministry,

Some of you may be asking; “Who or what is the Board of Lay Ministry?” (Hint: We used to be called the Board of Elders.) We are members of St. Paul Lutheran that oversee the following:

• Spiritual and personal welfare of the Pastors
• Spiritual and personal welfare of the hired professional staff
• Spiritual welfare of the congregation
• Ensure that inspirational worship services are offered for the diverse needs of the congregation
• Direct the call process for professional staff members
• Monitor the confessional standards of the church to uphold them through the Church and School by laity and professionals
• Cooperate with the Christian Day School Ministry to ensure that a meaningful salary and benefits package is in place for all staff

Look for our article each month in the Epistle summarizing the minutes of our meetings and other important information of our Church. Look for us at Cross Training and Worship Services – we’ll be wearing name tags so you can identify us among the crowd.
